This automobile has a 5 door hatchback type body with a front mounted engine supplying power to the front wheels. Power is supplied by a double overhead camshaft, 2.5 litre turbocharged 5 cylinder engine, with 4 valves per cylinder that provides power and torque figures of 222 bhp (225 PS/166 kW) at 6100 rpm and 320 N·m (236 lb·ft/32.6 kgm) at 1600-4000 rpm respectively.
Torque the main bearing cap bolts in three stages in the following sequence:Stage 1: 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) Stage 2: 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) Stage 3: 90 degrees. After the final torque of 90 degrees, check the bolt stretch with a torque angle gauge. The stretch should be between 0.15mm and 0.30mm. Connecting rod bearings:
1. At the manifold itself. 2. At the outlet of the intercooler. This sensor measures both pressure (TIP) and charge air temperature (CAT). Both of these sensors are capable of reading 3 bar of absolute pressure. This translates to around 29psi of boost at sea level.
