I no longer own the T100. It was a great bike, but pretty boring to ride in comparison to the Guzzi. Performance-wise the difference is modest at best, even though the T100 has a higher horsepower rating. The V7 just seems to rev easier than the T100. Handling-wise the V7 is better than the T100.

kMNUNvN. Without looking it up, I would guess that the 1200cc Triumph T120 has about 25-30 more HP than the V7 III, and substantially more torque, but it's also about $3500 more than a Guzzi Special. As I see it, the Triumph's T-series retro stylng is mid-1960's, while the V7 III Special's is mid-1970's, so they mimic different periods by about a decade.

Reliability of Guzzi vs other brands. My bike (Quota) is a pup with 24K. Outside of oil leaks, cracked rear rim and installing a battery reversed polarity and killing the regulator (I guess this is my fault). I expected any bike under 35K miles to be reliable. I had 1993 GSPD for 19 years only 44k miles.
Moto Guzzi does not exist for me because the nearest dealer is 500 miles away in Seattle. Before I moved here from Lacey, Washington, I had decided to get a Guzzi Norge Sport Tourer when I retired and moved here and would just bite the bullet and ship the bike there for major servicing. But the idiots discontinued the Norge. I have no idea why.
